You reap what you sow
When it comes to the word of God, many people say “we’re human beings, we make mistakes”, or “it’s our nature, we can’t change”. It’s as if they have already given up. Many people choose to justify their sins that this is how they are, instead of trying to change.
But we should not think like this, because although we are human beings, we are also children of God. We have a Father who has said that He will help us, so we need to seek His help. We are trying to justify our sins. Instead of justifying our sins, we must accept them and correct ourselves. If we justify our sins, we are trying to deceive God. People will tell you that you’re only human and it’s okay because it’s not your fault, but the Bible says “do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you reap whatever you sow. If you sow to your own flesh, you will reap corruption from the flesh; but if you sow to the Spirit, you will reap eternal life from the Spirit” (Galatians 6:7-8).
We reap what we sow, which means if we sin, we have to face the consequences of our sin, whether we like it or not. So instead of justifying our sins or making excuses, we must humble ourselves, repent, ask for forgiveness, and try to improve. God will help us.
