Why is God not listening to me?

The Lord has blessed many people with so many blessings, healings and miracles in their lives. But there are still many waiting for God’s intervention and wondering why God is not blessing them. They think that although they pray and read the Bible daily, God is not touching or healing them. Many people are disturbed by these thoughts, and are disappointed.

Where is God when I kneel down and pray? I do so many good things but my prayers aren’t answered? Why is He not listening to me? For those of you who have questions like this, the Word of God says, “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you in due time” (1 Peter 5:6). 

If you are praying or reading the Bible every day, attending Holy Mass, doing good things for others etc., you may be disappointed to see that your prayers have not been answered. God is allowing this for your purification. God is waiting for the right moment. He will exalt us in due time, so let us humble ourselves under His mighty hand.
